Rand McNally TND710 Truckers GPS

A friend of mine turned me onto the TND710 and to 12volt-travel. So far I'm happy with both. I really like the feature that lets me store my current location simply by touching my truck on the map and naming it. Now I can store the lat/long location for hard to find places.

I have set it to warn me 2 miles ahead of a speed change, 5 miles ahead of weigh stations and also to warn me if I'm more than 10mph over the posted speed. I would love to know how the GPS knows what the speed limit is of the roads I'm on! It's an incredible GPS.
